Aaron Espinoza and Ariana Murray form Earlimart, an indie rock singer/songwriter duo based out of Los Angeles, CA. The name comes from Earlimart, CA, a town located between Los Angeles and Fresno, CA. The punk rock style that could be heard in the band's earlier albums quickly transgressed into dreamy lo-fi compositions on Avenues EP. Espinoza's hushed vocals bears heavy resemblance Elliott Smith who also worked with and was a personal friend of the band's. In response to the sudden death of Smith, Earlimart's composed the 2004 album, Treble & Tremble as tribute album to the late artist. (show more...)
